The positions of office at Flagstone State School are the pinnacle of student leadership in the school. As well as representing the student body, the students represent the whole school, its values, its good name and honour. The students are leaders, independent and reliable. They are able to inspire others; they enjoy the confidence and respect of students and teachers.
Students interested in becoming school leaders will need to submit an application form to the school Principal.
To be eligible for the position of leadership applicants must be able to demonstrate and sustain:

- Commitment to the school through academic and cultural involvement

- A vision for their leadership
A set criteria sheet is set home in term 4 for year 5 students. In order to assist in the leadership process, students are invited to attend the leadership program run by the senior school deputy.
Students are nominated at the end of the school year and present speeches to the school body on parade. Staff and students, from year 3 - year 6 vote on the student's presentations.

- Organise war cry cheer leading to encourage team spirit
