Hello all. The term ends this Friday and we have a 2 week
holiday ahead. You should have received your child’s report by now
electronically, or if receiving a hard copy this will be sent today. Overall
our students should be very proud of their achievements this semester. A lot of
hard work and effort has been put in by staff to teach our core business of
curriculum, and students have engaged well with their learning. This will be
celebrated today and tomorrow with class celebration day events. Thanks to all
parents/carers who attended Parent/Teacher interviews last night.
YuMi Deadly Maths Professional Development is a focal point
for teachers at the moment and your child may be coming home telling you about
the exciting ‘hands on’ maths activities that they are enjoying in the
classroom as a result of this.
I would like to thank
those of you who have volunteered this term either in the classroom, tuckshop,
resource centre or elsewhere in the school. Your contribution to the school is
appreciated and highly valued. There are some changes to the Blue Card
legislation surrounding volunteers in the school. Parents/carers can volunteer
without a blue card however grandparents and other friends/citizens will need
to obtain a blue card to volunteer in the school. These are free of charge for
volunteers. For more details please contact Business Services Manager Mrs Lynn
Grima at the school office who ca assist you to apply.
I would like to wish the school community a very safe and
relaxing break and look forward to another great term after the holidays.
School resumes Monday 15 July.
