Behaviour management

The school is committed to providing a safe, respectful and disciplined learning environment for students and staff, where students are provided opportunities to engage in quality learning experiences and acquire values supportive of their lifelong wellbeing.

The Responsible Behaviour Plan for Students is designed to facilitate high standards of behaviour so that the learning and teaching in our school can be effective and students can participate positively within our school community (please refer to Behaviour Matrix). This is the means by which we ensure that a supportive school environment is established and maintained and that all students are afforded the principles of natural justice.

Showing foresight and initiative, Flagstone State School volunteered to complete the audit process, as we strongly believe that clear and consistent school discipline is an essential component of a high performing education system. The audit is an excellent opportunity to provide school staff and parents with an unbiased snapshot of the school's journey in building discipline, and where there are opportunities for improvement.  The results of the 2014 Discipline Audit , Executive Summary and Parent Facts are now available for your perusal.

Positive Behaviour and Learning

Our philosophical approach to behaviour management is based around “Positive Behaviour and Learning”” and is enacted throughout our school as a focus on being Respectful; Responsible; Safe; and an Active learner.
