Responsible Behaviour Plan for Students

Our Vision

To create and maintain a safe and positive learning environment that fosters academic and social success such that each individual student is given the opportunity to achieve to his/her full potential.  

This is achieved through the implementation of Positive Behaviour and Learning.

Positive Behaviour and Learning (PBL)

PBL is based on research and has proven to significantly reduce the occurrence of problem behaviours in the school resulting in a more positive school climate and increased academic performance. Introducing, modelling, and reinforcing positive social behaviour is an important aspect of a student’s educational experience.

Teaching behavioural expectations and recognizing students for following them is a key feature of this approach.

Aim:- To continually improve the behaviour/tone/culture of the school by explicitly teaching those concepts that have been identified through data analysis.

Week 1 Student Induction Program – explicit teaching and learning

Week 3 Physical – playing rough

Week 4 Dealing with disagreement

Week 5 How to make the rules of the game- Problem solving

Week 6 Be assertive – not aggressive

Week 7 Empathy – what is it?

Week 8 Know where to play
