​NAPLAN 2018

Students in year 3 and 5 will sit the NAPLAN test in week 5.  

    • Language Convention and Writing 15th May
    •  Reading 16th May
    •  Numeracy 17th May
    • 18th May - Make up day for students who were away or absent.
    •  Parents who feel their child may be stressed or have anxiety are to contact the HOC by the end of week 4.
    • Parents are invited to review test with NAPLAN online


     A couple of things to remember to help your child achieve their very best!

    1.      Prepare them for the day: Having a good night’s sleep and a good breakfast will help your child to concentrate and try their best
    2.      Help them to relax: Provide your child with some relaxation strategies and remind them that feeling nervous is okay. Simple techniques like taking three deep breaths, having a drink of water and re-reading questions are useful for everyday circumstances, as well as for their NAPLAN test.
    3.      Arrive on time to school: To ensure the tests can start on time and to alleviate extra stresses on your child ensure they arrive on time for school.
    4.        Most importantly encourage them to do their best!
